To harness and nurture the incredible talent and enthusiasm amongst dancers and dance-groups at the Peninsula Technikon, the institution is planning to hold a weeklong dance festival during the June holidays of 2004.
The festival is intended to fuse educational elements together with social responsibility, and artistic development, whilst allowing Pentech Students, and dancers to showcase their talents.

The festival will offer different activities, including workshops, exhibitions, panel discussions/forum, and training sessions.
Qualified, professional dance teachers will facilitate the following courses:
• Classical Ballet/ Coaching
• Modern Dance
• Mapantsula
• Gumboot
• Ballroom Dancing
• Spanish Dancing
• Hip-Hop
• Breakdancing
• Street Dancing
• Dance-Theatre
• Make-up…..
To encourage communication and interaction with other dancers worldwide, a Dance Internet Café, where dancers will be afforded an opportunity to chat and connect with dancers and dance-companies/schools from all over the world, will be established.
Well-known Professional Dancers will offer individual Coaching-sessions for professional ballet dancers.
Christopher Kindo will be facilitating a Choreography- Workshop.

All festival participants, and facilitators will be encouraged to present their work on the last day of the festival, at the Closing Performance.
